Oral history interview with Vera Renteria conducted by Dan West on February 11, 1972 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Renteria discusses arriving in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1928 in search of job opportunities and talks about the various jobs she held. Renteria then describes the Boulder Dam (Hoover Dam), recreational activities, and wildlife around the area.

Oral history interview with Douglas Reynolds conducted by Dr. David Emerson on June 16, 2006 for the UNLV @ 50 Oral History Project. Reynolds discusses joining the University of Nevada, Las Vegas’ engineering faculty in 1983 and writing a report that led to the founding of the engineering college. He also talks about the report’s accreditation with the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).

Oral history interview with Juanita Rice conducted by Bob Hulbert on March 17, 1978 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Rice recounts her personal history in Las Vegas, Nevada after moving there in 1942 with her ex-husband, who worked at the Basic Magnesium Plant in Henderson. Rice also discusses the construction of the I-15 interstate.

Oral history interview with Richard "Dick" Richards conducted by his son, Rick Richards, on February 21, 1979 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Richards describes his own personal history and the history of Las Vegas, Nevada. Most notably, Richards describes his time working as a dealer in casinos owned by the mob and his interactions with individuals involved with organized crime.

Oral history interview with Vicki Richardson conducted by Claytee D. White on January 29, 2003 and August 19, 2003 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. Richardson discusses teaching art in the Clark County School district and owning businesses, including the Left of Center Art Gallery in North Las Vegas, Nevada.

Oral history interview with Paul Richert conducted by Mark Ferrario on March 29, 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Richert briefly describes his personal history in Las Vegas, Nevada, observing nuclear weapons tests, and meeting then-Senator John F. Kennedy while he was campaigning in Las Vegas for the U.S. presidency. Mainly, Richert discusses his career as a police chemist, and later his work helping to improve education in the Clark County School District as an assistant principal.

Oral history interview with Albert Risley conducted by his granddaughter, Wendy Dalmas, on February 27, 1979 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Risley discusses the development of Boulder City, Nevada after his transfer there from Denver, Colorado in 1944. Risley discusses creating a point-based system which was used to assign housing to government employees based on their status and needs. Risley describes life in Boulder City during World War II, and the nearby U.S. Army camp, Camp Williston, which was established to protect Boulder (Hoover) Dam during the war. Risley also describes observing nuclear weapons tests and his later career as a Contracting Officer and Procurement Officer for the Lower Colorado Region after being promoted in 1971.
