Jocelyn Thompson Oats was born in New Orleans, Louisiana August 29, 1952. Oats' father founded Victory Baptist Church on the Westside. She was involved with the PTA and advocated for African American students in the first steps of school integration.
Thelma Turner was born in Midland, Texas on February 21, 1934. Turner came to Las Vegas at the age of 13 with her family. She worked in various jobs, including as a change girl at the Moulin Rouge.
Lindell Blake was born July 31, 1966 in Trinidad. Blake is a self-taught dancer in the tradition of Sammy Davis Jr and others. He performed in Las Vegas at Sands, New York, New York, and Luxor hotels.
Roy Brown was born in American Fork, Utah. He relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, in 1957. Brown’s hair salon located within Camelot Shopping Center in Las Vegas.
