Ryan, Ora Prichard Smith, 1904-1992

Ora Belva Palmer was born on September 4, 1904 in Aurora, Missouri to Amanda Belle Vaughn and James Henry Palmer. She married Everett John Phelps on December 25, 1921. The couple had one daughter, Rosetta Belle Phelps. She later left Phelps and moved west to pursue a divorce. She moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1931. She worked as a waitress and married Louis A. Prichard on February 8, 1935 in St. George, Utah. In 1938, she began to work at the Shady Moor Lodge, a boarding house located at 325 South Second Street.

Flo Mlynarczyk was born in Fort Morgan, Colorado. Her parents divorced and she moved with her mother first to Loveland, Colorado and eventually to Los Angeles, California. Upon graduation from high school in 1943, Mlynarczyk moved to Kodiak, Alaska, to live with friends.

Rojas, Joseph A., 1933-2009

Dr. Joseph Rojas, born December 09, 1933 in Alexandria, Louisiana, was the son of Joseph Edward and Carroll Rojas. He graduated high school at age 16 and entered Loyola University of the South. Two years later, he was accepted at Louisiana State University School of Medicine, graduating with a medical degree in 1957. He interned at Charity Hospital and then completed his Obstetrics- Gynecology (OB-GYN) residency at Tulane University.

Entratter, Jack, 1914-1971

Jack Entratter (1914-1971) was an executive and show producer at the Sands Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada from 1952 until his death in 1971. He is credited with elevating the quality of shows produced on the Strip and helping the city become the "entertainment capital of the world." Entratter moved to Las Vegas in 1952 as a co-owner of the Sands Hotel. He produced the hotel's shows and served as vice president (1952-1960, 1967-1971) and president (1960-1967).

Murphey, Cynthia Kiser

Cynthia Kiser Murphey was the President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the New York-New York Hotel and Casino until May 2020. She worked at the New York-New York for twelve years, first joining the company in Human Resources for the Mirage, then moving to the MGM Grand when it opened 1992 as Senior Vice President of Human Resources. She started the MGM Resort Corporate University program as well as the onsite childcare program while at MGM Resorts.

Kari K. Ayers is an insurance industry professional, and a longtime resident of Las Vegas, Nevada. She is past-president of the Southern Nevada Variety Club Tent 39, where she has engaged in several charitable endeavors. During her tenure as president of this organization, she donated a legacy archive of the former Las Vegas Variety Club to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Special Collections and Archives.

Long-time Las Vegas resident Ruth Evaline Hazard (née Worden) was born in Marshall, Michigan on June 25, 1907 to Joseph V. Worden and Mary D. Hare. She lived in Michigan until she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1931. Over the course of her lifetime, she worked as a secretary, a bookkeeper/accountant, and worked at Baker and Hazard Realty (a property management company founded by C. D. Baker and H. E. Hazard).
