Russell, Jane, 1921-2011

Jane Russell was an actress known for her roles in Howard Hughes films including The Outlaw (1943) and His Kind of Woman (1951), as well as the film Gentlemen Prefer Blonds (1953) where she played alongside Marilyn Monroe. She was born June 21, 1921 in Bemidji, Minnesota as Ernestine Jane Geraldine Russell, and died February 28, 2011 in Santa Maria, California.

Jackson, Blanch, 1884-1973

Born on January 22, 1884, Blanch Jackson was the daughter of Edward F. Frailey and Mrs. Frailey. Frailey was the superintendent of waterworks in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. In April 1904, Blanch married prominent mining industry figure Clyde Jackson in Lancaster. They moved to Tonopah, Nevada after the wedding. Blanch passed away on January 25, 1973.

Jackson, David Howell, 1833-1925

Colonel David Howell Jackson, born on December 8, 1833 in Ohio, most famously served as manager of the Comstock Mining Company. He was superintendent of various other mining companies such as the Holmes Mining Company and vice president of the North Tonopah Gold Mining Company. He retired to Southern California and passed away on January 30, 1925.

Jensen, Frank C., 1904-1978

Frank Christian Jensen was born on May 18, 1904. Jensen served as a first aid attendant for the Bureau of Reclamation on the Hoover Dam (Boulder Dam) Project from 1932 to 1969, interrupted by World War II and the Korean War, where he served as an assistant flight surgeon. Jensen retired from the Bureau of Reclamation on October 22, 1969 and passed away in 1978.

Perchetti, Minnie, 1920-

Minnie Perchetti was born on June 26, 1920 in Tonopah, Nevada to Yugoslavian parents. She married Tony Perchetti in June 1937 in Hawthorne, Nevada when she was seventeen. She lived in Manhattan, Nevada for a brief period before returning to Tonopah. Her father, brothers, and husband worked in the Belmont and Mizpah mines in Tonopah. As of 2020, Minnie Perchetti lives in Tonopah, Nevada.

Lynch, Agnes, 1910-1992

Agnes Lynch was born as Nora Agnes Waggoner on May 5, 1910. She married Charles “Denny” Lynch Sr. in 1929 and the two later moved to Pahrump Valley, Nevada in 1976. She died September 8, 1992.

Brandt, Monty, 1917-2006

Monty Brandt was born Oct. 13, 1917 in Oswego, Kansas. Monty was a graduate of the University of Kansas. She and her husband, Ted Brandt, moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1946. He was a registered pharmacist and later became managing partner in the White Cross Drug Stores.

Brandt died on May 9, 2006.

Milton, Billie, 1908-

Althea Wilhelmina Losky was born to Sarah Milton and Charles Losky in West Monroe, New York on March 22, 1908. She married Howard Ungleich on July 23, 1927 and they had one son, Frederick, born on June 20, 1929. She went by the name Billie and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in approximately 1948 where she worked as a governess for Marion B. Hicks. She later worked as an executive housekeeper at the Thunderbird. She married Fred Grace in by the late 1950s and the couple lived in Las Vegas, Nevada.
