James Robert Coffin IV arrived in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1951. His family moved to the John S. Park Neighborhood in 1960. He worked as a janitor at the Nevada Test Site and as a journalist for Las Vegas Review Journal. Bob was elected to the Nevada State Assembly in 1982 and to the State Senate in 1986. He has a special interest in neighborhood preservation.
Douglas Saito is best known for his casino chip collection and newsletter on the collection and history of casino chips. He researched and published the history of casino chips here in Las Vegas in his magazine, Chip Chat. He also speaks at conventions and works as an auctioneer for casino chips and other memorbilia.
Lee R. Tilman was known for working on the Boulder (Hoover) Dam construction. He was born in Gooding, Idaho and had worked many jobs including a miner, ranch hand, and truck driver. He has given interviews regarding the dam's construction for many programs including PBS (Public Broadcasting Service), the History Channel, and the Discovery Channel.
