King David Memorial Chapel was established in 2001 by Palm Mortuaries and Cemeteries. It is located on 2697 East Eldorado Lane in Las Vegas, Nevada. King David Memorial Chapel is “the only memorial chapel and cemetery combination in Southern Nevada dedicated exclusively to the Jewish community.” King David Memorial Chapel is part of the Dignity Memorial network, which is the largest funeral provider in North America. King David Memorial Chapel is also part of the Jewish Funeral Directors Association (JFDA).
Martha Carol Knack is a Distinguished Professor Emerita at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) whose research focus was cultural anthropology of the indigenous tribes of North America. After receiving her PhD from the University of Michigan in 1975, Knack moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and began teaching in the Department of Anthropology at UNLV. Martha and her husband, Omer Knack co-authored numerous books and articles on the Northern and Southern Paiute.
Raised in a San Francisco Bay Area suburb of Filipino immigrants with professional careers, Emmy Kasten created her own successful and wide-ranging career including, among others, acting and broadcasting, sales and marketing, event production, philanthropy, and writing and editing that began in Los Angeles but eventually took her to major cities in several countries. Emmy's parents moved to Las Vegas in about 2007, and Emmy and her husband followed with their children in 2016.
