The Teenbeat Club was a nightclub in Paradise, Nevada, believed to be the first in the United States that catered exclusively to teenagers. Located at 4416 Paradise Road, it was opened in 1962 by Steve Miller and Keith Austin, both 19 at the time and Las Vegas High School graduates, where they had been members of the 1962 Las Vegas High School Broadcasting Club. The Teenbeat Club ceased operation in 1968. but the original building still stands.
The Sin Sity Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence are a Las Vegas chapter of men who dress outrageously as nuns in drag and do charity work to promote HIV/AIDs awareness. According to the Las Vegas Weekly they "The Las Vegas chapter of the Sisters — a vocational order of mostly male nuns in drag, with 30 chapters and missions around the country — take no government money and vow to help those in need, without judgment.
