Grover Lewis was an influential African American mathematician and pioneer in information systems, he became the first African American to earn a Master’s Degree in Mathematics from the University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff (then A.M.&N. College) in 1952. A proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, he later held key leadership roles in federal technology infrastructure, serving as Information Systems Manager at the Nevada Test Site in 1968 and eventually as Director of Information Systems at the U.S. Department of Energy.
