Richard "Dick" Blackburn Taylor was a prominent businessman in Las Vegas, Nevada and amateur historian of Southern Nevada. Taylor was born on January 31, 1929 in Quincy, Illinois and grew up in Glendale, California. After graduating high school in 1947, he attended Washington and Lee University, the University of Southern California, and the University of Hawaii. He served in the 4th Infantry Division of the United States Army in Germany during the occupation following WWII. In 1957, he married Charlene Flora Belknap and they had four children.

Clinton Wright was borni in Altheimer, Arkansas in 1940. In 1959, after attending the University of Arkansas, Clinton Wright came to Las Vegas. He did various jobs at first and then settled in as a financial planner for A. L. Williams and eventually as a photographer for the Las Vegas Voice, an African American publication. He took photos there for fifteen years, photographing local events and news.

George E. Crockett was born on March 31, 1912 in Unionville, Missouri. He graduated from Unionville High School in 1928 and entered Jefferson City Flight Aviation School in Jefferson City, Missouri, where he earned his pilot's license. He relocated to Las Vegas in the early 1940s. In 1942, he opened Crockett Field, later known as Alamo Airport. In 1945, he founded and was the first president of the Nevada State Airmen Association (NSAA). In 1964, Crockett became the president of the National Aviation Trades Association. George Crockett died on May 20, 1990 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
