Kathleen Nathan was born in Utica, New York and began studying photography in 1973 at the Rochester Institute of Technology and Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester. In 1991, Nathan obtained her MFA from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Her work has been exhibited in solo and group shows throughout the United States for over 40 years. Nathan also worked as adjunct professor of art at the College of Southern Nevada Department of Fine Arts.
As of 2026, Nathan lives in Las Vegas, Nevada and Woodgate, New York. She continues to pursue her devotion to capturing the passage of time through photography.
