The Clark County School District Community Partnership Photographs consist mostly of photographic prints and slides that depict various activities of the Clark County School District (CCSD) Community Partnership program, which include teacher training events and classes, student career days, community outreach, local business and organization involvement, and holiday events. Also included in the collection are newspaper clippings, newsletters, audiovisual material, and born-digital files.

Processing Note

These records are unprocessed. Landon Paljusaj accessioned the collection in 2025. In 2025, Sarah Jones rehoused the collection and a student assistant transcribed folder titles and audiovisual item descriptions, which were used to create the finding aid. Tammi Kim processed the born-digital materials including migrating files off of optical discs and floppy disks and normalized files to standard preservation and access formats following UNLV Special Collections and Archives Digital Preservation guidelines.

Appraisal Note

Acquired by Aaron Mayes, Visual Materials Curator, as part of UNLV Special Collections and Archives holdings on the history of Las Vegas. Approximately 0.54 linear feet of duplicate photographs and 12 vhs tapes were discarded. A plaque was photographed and discarded; an unlabelled, incomplete guestbook for an unknown event was also discarded. Tammi Kim reviewed and appraised the born-digital files and removed duplicate and system generated files. The rest of the original accession was retained.
