Abstract

The Veterans' Voices: We're Listening Oral History Project (2021-2024) contains fifty interviews conducted by members of two UNLV entities, the Women’s Research Institute of Nevada (WRIN) and the Military & Veteran Services Center (MVSC). UNLV is nationally recognized as a Military Friendly School, and this project contains interviews spanning all branches and eras of the U.S. military and include a representative cross-section of the diversity of Veterans.

The Veterans' Voices: We're Listening Oral History Project (2021-2024) contains fifty interviews conducted by members of two UNLV entities, the Women’s Research Institute of Nevada (WRIN) and the Military & Veteran Services Center (MVSC). UNLV is nationally recognized as a Military Friendly School, and this project contains interviews spanning all branches and eras of the U.S. military and include a representative cross-section of the diversity of Veterans. All interviews consist of digital audio and transcript files; many also have associated photographs.

Access Note

Collection is open for research. Some interviews are only accessible onsite due to lack of signed contract, and are noted at the file level inventory. One interview (OH_04000_028) is restricted until 50 years from the interview date and will be open for research use on January 1, 2072. Please contact special.collections@unlv.edu for further information.

Materials in this collection may be protected by copyrights and other rights. Some transcripts do not exist in final form, therefore any editing marks in a transcript (deletions, additions, corrections) are to be quoted as marked.

This collection includes multiple interviewees. Release forms are not on file from each interviewee. The interview is accessible onsite only, and researchers must seek permission from the interviewee or heirs for quotation, reproduction, or publication. Please contact special.collections@unlv.edu for further information.
