100 Las Vegas African American Educators - Past and Present
The following African American educators pictured or mentioned in this publication were selected from questionnaires completed by educators whose names were submitted to the Ivy Reading AKAdemy of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. by local educators.
100 Las Vegas African American Educators Past and Present in no way represent the many hundreds of African American educators who are or have been a part of the Las Vegas (Clark County) School District but it is a significant sampling. The deceased educators' names were provided to the Ivy Reading AKAdemy by reliable sources.
Note: The questionnaire given to the educators only inquired about their Nevada experiences. This publication is about the contributions educators have made and are still making to Las Vegas, Nevada. Many of these educators had long careers in other cities and states.
