GRADUATE ADVISOR'S REPORT
Kappa Xi Chapter held their first meeting on January 28, 1996, at
the home of the Graduate Advisor. They discussed the upcoming
semester and the events they have planned.
They will be in attendance at the Founder's Day Luncheon and will
perform the Traditions of Firsts. There are currently 13
financial members of Kappa Xi.
Denise Williams is the Basileus of the chapter.
Kappa Xi voted to change their meeting time from 6:30 p.m. on
Sunday to 2:30 p.m. on Sundays. This will allow more sorors to
attend the meetings. They still meet the second and fourth
Sundays of every month when school is in session.
They are planning a retreat to the Nevada Landing on February 17-
18, 1996. They are also having a Pot Luck lunch featuring
posters and information on Historical African Americans. This
lunch will be held at the Moyer Student Union from 12:00 noon to
4:00 p.m. If you plan to attend. Please bring a gift.
They will also be distributing an informational flyer once a week
during Black History Month on a prominent African American. The
flyers will be given to students, faculty, and visitors on
campus.
Kappa Xi will have a display window on campus from February 22-
26, 1996. They will be sponsoring a poetry contest during this
time. The theme is Uplifting the African American Male.
Respectfully submitted,
