Now I can tell you how very pleased I was to receive your long looked for letter, and indeed I was glad to know that you had such a nice time during the Christmas holidays. I thought of you so much while at home and wondered where you were and how you were enjoying the vacation.
I was sick the greater part of my time while at home which made me feel to complain once in a while Oh! our baby! sweet? yes I should say so.
Well, Mary dear I am nearly frozen to death as I am in the school room and the fire is all out so please excuse me until some future time, shortly.

We are very busy of late preparing for the coming convention for the teachers and for our school examination papers, after which comes the dreadful criticisms of the answers.
We are now having lovely weather and spring, gay spring, is fast approaching.
Nellie and I, have tonight been for a lovely walk, and 0 how refreshed we do feel. Yesterday I was sick all day but my walk to-night has
given me new life.
There is to be a grand ball this evening and I have been requested to "come" Alone I suppos they think I'll go.
Well Mary I am painfully conscious of this disjointed arrangment of this letter and am ashamed to forward such
