Reel-to-reel audio tapes, 1983-1996

The reel-to-reel audio tapes in this collection are divided into three categories as labeled by the creator: masters, outtakes, and duplicates. The "master" tapes are the unedited recordings of performances, often comprised of two musical performance sets. The "outtakes" are the edited recordings of performances that were aired on the KNPR radio program, "Monday Night Jazz." The tapes marked "duplicate" are sometimes outtakes, but usually are a duplicate copy of the program. When you see pluralized outtakes or duplicates and only one box, this denotes that there is more than one reel in that particular box. The descriptions were transcribed from tape canisters and most are undated.
