Description

A mill constructed by Norman “Curly” Coombs in Smoky Valley, Nevada, about 1965. The mill included a ball mill and a 7 –foot sluice box and used amalgamation. It had a 4-ton per day capacity. The mill used water from Jett Canyon and was located about ¼ mile form the shaft where the ore was obtained. From the Nye County, Nevada Photograph Collection (PH-00221) -- Series VI.
