LAS TOGAS REVIBWomJODBHAL8 , Las Vegas, Nevada, Friday, May Thomas A. Campbell, president of the district, said this morning that as soon as the CRC and the lessees complete the | transfer of the facilities at the | Plant, the water district will resume negotiations with the Las | Vegas Land and Water company j in an effort to reach an agree- ! ment on the purchase price for the company’s distribution system in Las Vegas and surrounding territory. Some preliminary discussions have been had between -the two groups and fluctuating figure was discussed. This will have to be pin-pointed in the fourth-coming meetings so that the water I district will be able to set up! the figure to be approved by the f (public in the bond issue. j Campbell also said that an' j agreement between the CRC land lessees would allow the- dis-i trict to release their attorneys (to start preparation of the bond (election resolutions so that, (when the negotiations with the (water company are concluded,! i the wheels for the election will already be in motion. It is the plan of the water dis-; trict to bring water into the v'al- | ioy from Lake Mead with a pipe-jline tapping the present line between the lake and Basic and (augment the supply which now is provided through the water company’s wells- arid distribu-i , ; ; won system.
