Dear Mr* Brackens I a m Just in receipt of c e rtific a te condemning the water supply at Las Vegas and prohibiting it s use fo r drinking purposes on train s and in our dining room* The samples were taken on June 11th* The re su lts show teste on two samples taken from tap in station dining room* one from well #1 and one from w ell #3* one from well #3 and one composite sample* I do not understand where these samples were taken as we have but one well in operation . Am writing to the Surgeon General for further explanation. I fe e l sure that the situation has cleared up since the new w ell was put into operation and no water used from the lower springs* Am asking Harms to send sanitary container for fample, from Salt Lake to Mr. He at on and w ill ask that you return i t to him with sample of water taken from one of the taps at the depot ao that we may sa tisfy ourselves as the condition Very tru ly yours* (Signed) Wm.
