Las yegas - pipe lines Los Angeles, April 25, 1917 Chief Engineer, Los Angeles; Referring to our recent trip to Las yegas in regard to the various pipe jobs* I attach herewith rough pencil sketches showing the outlets •i-v+.oon infih line; also f o r theynew six inch coach line, and at the power house to accommodate the b o iler wash-in the new sixteen inch line; also f o r the fo r the proposed work ing plant. / If we have trouble in getting deliveries on the six inch casing fofc the coach line, I am confid ent that we can move the present standpipe and make temporary connection from the new sixteen inch line into the old coach line. in this w # our new sixteen inch line w i l l not be held up. / • I am having the valve/at the forebay near the reservoir taken out and also the valve in the outlet from the reservoir, also the e ighteen inch valve fn^the lrfie leading from the main to the engine tank. As soon as the^^^djrefsalvagea and the nature of the necessary connections is determined^'i'will arrange to have these f ittings made if they cannot be purchased. it reduces to twelve inch, as it is possible by I had the wood of Main street dug out and Frazier thinks that within I have asked Mr Frazier to explore this further, extending our line a few feet into the street we can connect to the twelve inch line instead of the eighteen inch line, as has been determined I w i l l arrange fo r the purchase necessary fit t in g s . line where it crosses the northwesterly 1 ine find that it is eighteen inch pipe, but Mr. the next few feet soon as this or making of the 16x16x8" have today placed requisition for the making of the fo r the five outlets from our sixteen inch main. 1-w i l l Division Engineer.
