Dear S i r :- Under the new ordinance promulgated by the City of Los Angeles re lative to wharfage, dockage and handling charges, it is my understanding that any and a l l vessels that tie up to our docks, it is our imperative duty, under the law, to collect < a dockage charge, and i f there is any freight , such freight w ill be subject to wharfage charge. Failure to collect same means penalty to this company. I would like to be sure of th is, and especially must we collect dockage from the Catalina boat that pouches at our dock each morning for passengers. A ruling on this w ill be very much appreciated.
