Dear Sir: Your favor o f the 7th inst, advising that your Company w ill in sist on the shippers' weight on coal, and that you w ill refuse to accept the scale weights as procured at this end of the lin e . and i f so there should he very l i t t l e occasion for lo ss. It occurs to me that should there he at any time a sta rtlin g difference in the shippers weights compared with track scale weights at this end, that this Company would he up against a proposition in charging more than the actual weight of the coal as found in the car at this point, pro* vided, o f course, same was up to the minimum and in accordance with the t a r if f s . duced as against Gallup coal, hut i f your Company are going*to handi­cap us by refusing to accept scale weights at this point when the shippers of Gallup coal are w illin g to do th is, I am afra id our ship­ments w ill decrease instead o f increase.
