Los Angeles, June 11, 1924. 4824 Mr. A. S. Halsted: Your letter June 7 in connection with development of water near Dry Lake, Nevada, as referred to in Mr. McNameers memorandum June 6th to you and enclosures, which you transmitted to me with your letter and which are returned herewith: I understand similar question came up some time ago regarding well drilled at Desert, Nevada, when it was decided our interests would be best served by fencing and later making settlement with the homesteader. However, in view of Mr. McNamee’s opinion in this matter, I believe we should handle as he suggests. Would be glad if you would ask him to prepare the necessary application papers. F. H. Knickerbocker.
