Mr. F. B. P e t t it -2- A p r il 4, 1928. 2. Evergreen Spring is lo c a te d a t the head o f a two * .*inch pipe lin e as in d icated on drawing attaohed to A bstract o f ^ D it le . Most o f th is pipe lin e was removed during 1926 and la c e d in tunnel on adjacent mining claim . This sp rin g has been dry f o r some time; however, owing to nature o f form ation in th is v ic in it y the sprin g might begin to flo w a t any time and, i f p o s s ib le , we should p rotect any rig h ts that we may have to the w ater. 3. Horse Shoe Spring is lo c a te d in the canyon a short distan ce above Evergreen Spring and has a lso been dry f o r some time. The w ater from t h is sp rin g joined the water from Evergreen Spring and was then conducted through the two inch pipe to the main pipe li n e . 4. Hock Spring was not d e f in it e ly lo c a te d although on the map it appears that i t should be a short distan ce below Evergreen Sprin g. Ho in d ic a tio n o f a sp rin g was found in th is l o c a l i t y . In my opinion th is spring has lik e w is e ceased to flo w . In any event, the water from Hock Spring has never been u t i li z e d by the H ailro ad Company. 5. The P a c ific Southwest Trust and Savings Bank paid $6,000 fo r the C o rn fie ld Springs quartz mining claim on which the tunnel is lo c a te d . The source o f the w ater we take from the tunnel through the fo u r inch pipe lin e i s from s e e p a g e a lo n g the t u n n e l a n d amounts to f i v e g a llo n s
