Water Supply at Las Vegas: Las Vegas - June 18, 1938. 1 23-3-3 Mr. E. E. Bennett, General Solicitor, F F © Los Angeles, Calif. N V j'j 3 . Dear Sir: We have “been experiencing some difficulty with the new well drilled at Las Vegas in October 1936 by the Rosooe Boss Company, as the amount of water produced thereby has fallen off almost two and a half million gallons per day. On handling 'the matter with the drilling company, they expressed the opinion that this trouble could be corrected by either pumping the well to free it from sand, or by further perforating the casing, which would cost between |300 and #500. I quote below Mr. Mann’s telegram date, authorizing this work: "Your letter 14th and Roscoe Moss proposition. This in my opinion should be done immediately, and wish you would get in touch with Roscoe Moss and make necessary arrangements, advising General Manager Guild and Supt. Larson. Some simple letter form of contract will probably be necessary in order to permit free transportation of equipment. This Larson should arrange for. A-137 Org 1RB Gy WHG". In the absence of General Attorney MeNamee, who is out of town, will you kindly have a letter of agreement prepared to cover. I enclose copy of the exchange of correspondence with Roscoe Moss for your information and guidance. cc - Mr. W. H. Guild, Mr. H. H. Larson. Yours very truly, '/7 8* WALTER B.J BRACKEN, Vice-President.
