Bingham and Olive Craig for permits to drill wells in the vicinity of Las Vegas. Last Frontier Hotel and proposes to drill the well for the benefit of the locaters within the Tract. of North City Limits and the proposed well is to supplement their present supply which is stated to he inadequate for their operation. the past several days investigating the general water situations particularly in Paradise Valley. He is fully aware of the serious shortage in this area and.stated he proposes upon his return to Carson City to discuss the subject with Geo. B. Maxey of the U. S. Geological Survey Bureau, who has made a study of the Las Vegas Valley Basin/,with the view of determining the limits of the Basin, following which he proposes to restrict permits for all deep wells to use for domestic purposes and to restrict drilling for agricultural purposes to shallow wells. He further stated that the quantity of water authorized on application for a new well will be restricted to the amount of water required for each project.
