Los Angeles - November 11, 1953 174-2 Messrs, A. D. Hanson - Salt Lake V. W. Smith * Los Angeles (eo - Mr. Wm. Reinhardt - Los Angeles Mr. C. M. Cory - Las Vegas ) You will recall our discission relative to the possible construction of the new water tank in the shop grounds* As you know, we have an understanding that we may transfer 2.5 c.f.s. of water from one of the exist* Ing wells. I attach a copy of Mr. Cory*a letter of November 7th to me on this subject* and I deem It quite advisable that this tank be constructed before the permit for transfer be Issued. This situation is a very delicate one* and we may be subject to criticism at any time for securing the authority to make the new diversion of water} and, technical* ly* we should be in a position to state we have facilities to take care of this water before we request a permit be issued to us, 1 would* therefore, appreciate if the construction of this tank be expedited as rapidly as possible* and would be glad to have any information you maylave as to when we mar expect the tank to be completed. E. E. Bennett JBSBtpa Mr. Wm. Reinhardt: If there is anything you can do to get this work progressed, I think it should be done. I understand that a contract has been let, although I do not know when, but when I was last in Las Vegas apparently the only thing that had been done was to dig a few holes, presumably for footings. E. E. B. Mr. Cory: I suggest you request Mr. Shamberger to withhold further proceedings In this matter until he hears from you again. E. E.B,
