satisfy the maximum demands of the 1953 season when all of the pumping facilities as ordered by this Commission were producing water in an added amount of the very conservative amount of 4.1 million gallons per twenty-four hours. Since the tests as developed by Mr. Stava indicated the possibility of producing 8.2 million gallons per twenty-four hours and the maximum demand in 1952 from testimony is indicated to be about 17.5 million gallons, it would appear that with the judicious use of the water available there is siffucient water to meet the reasonable demands ©f the present users and thosff)otentlal users which may develop this season. The records of this Commission indicate that the Las Vegas Land and Water Company, a corporation, its successors and assigns, has the right, franchise and privilege to install a system of water works and to make extensions thereto from time to time, granted to it by the County of Clark, and that for additions to the original towns!te the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas granted a franchise to the Las Vegas Land and Water Company, a corporation of the State of Nevada, and to its successors and assigns, to install pipes, etc. "for the purpose of supplying the inhabitants of the original towns!te of Las Vegas with water and for the operation of a water system therein." "The privilege hereby granted to the said grantee shall inure to the benefit of said grantee, its successors and assigns, for a period of 50 years from and after the passage of this ordinance." ~4-
