Cory Please refer to my letter of July 9, 1953 relative to amended rate No. 21 covering air conditioning and refrigeration which was 00)) =I submitted in compliance with the Public Service Commissions order 1OU. dated June 18, 1953 in I & S Docket #1^2 Case No. 1221. Amended rate sheet was furnished with my letter of July 9th, and was filed with the Commission by Mr. Bennett as LVL&¥ Company Second Revised Sheet PSCN #3 effective May 1, 1953 sometime subse­quent thereto. Mr. Bennett advised, that proposed rates are now effective. It will be noted that my letter indicates a field survey will be required to determine the number and capacity of refrigeration equipment, ice making equipment and evaporative coolers before any revenue could be obtained for the Company under the amended rate #21. In order to make the field survey mentioned, it will be necessary that I employ k qualified men for an estimated period of two months, at an estimated cost of $3*000 to conduct a thorough field investiga­tion so that when we start billing for this service we will be able to start the billings on the same date for all of the customers involved. As a suggestion of another way to make the above mentioned survey would be to employ some firm familiar with air conditioning and refrigeration matters on a lump sum basis which would have the advantage of possibly better qualified men than I could get for the work of setting up the ratings and capacities for the various forms 47-?Q0M-
