As result these efforts and at our request, City Council last night adopted emergency ordinance restricting watering lawns, gardens, etc* to period 6:00 PM to midnight; collection and re-use of water used for cooling and refrigerating systems thru installation sumps, instead of permitting water to waste into sewers and cesspools; such ordinance to be effective during months June, July and August each year and providing for penalty covering violations, Application will be filed with Utilities Commission for supplementary rate oovering heavy water users as a measure of curtailing usage, and we are putting on a man for approx, 30 days to polios situation in City to make certain residents literally observing emergency ordinance. As result our handling as above, we have during past 24 hours gained 3-1/3 feet in reservoir and 33 inches in settling basin.
