I agree.I H P 1 OFFICE O F V I C E P R E S I P K ^ OCT 19 1949 u: p . R. R- c c ' LOS AHC5ELES Las Vegas - October 18, 19^9 W 23-7 Mr. Wm. Reinhardt: ( cc Mr. E. E. Bennett ) Supplementing my letter October 14th, regarding request from Public Service Commission that we reclassify rate for water service furnished to auto courts and motels. As suggested in Mr. Bennett’s letter, October 1 7 th, we have considered the loss which would be sustained by the suggested compromise, and find that the charges for toilet and baths in the 53 auto courts listed in statement attached to our letter September l^th would total #360.50 per month. The offset credit against this loss varies with the vacancies and tourist business in Las Vegas; for Instance during February the auto court vacancy allowances totaled #278.50, therefore the net loss to the water company would be $82.00 per month or $983*00 per year on this basis. This is considerable, but not in comparison with the loss of $720.90 per month, or $8,650 per year which would result from application of the hotel rate which the petitioners request. A. M.
