Bennett) Re proposed Las Yogas Valley Water District; This district which extends about 10 allot north and south, and 7 nlles east and west from Las Vegas, cowers 308 square miles and Includes 21 miles of main line track between M.F. 323.3** and M.P. 3 ^ .6 3 and 1A miles of Bouldor Branch track from Bouldor Junction to M.P. 1A.$3, It will bo created and operated pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 16 7 of ths 19**7 Statute* of the State of Nevada which is entitled, 4An Act to create a water district in the Las Vegas Valley, Clark County, Nevada; ‘to provide for tho procurement, storage, distribution and sale of water end rights In the use thereof from Lake Mead for Industrial, Irrigation, municipal and domestic uses; to provide for ths conservation of the ground water resources of the Las Vegas Valley and to create authority to purchase, acquire and construct the necessary works to carry out the provisions of this act; to authorise a tax levy for the payment of obligations during ths organisational period, and to provide for the Issuance of district bonds to be paid solely from the operating revenues of such district.4 this Act provides the district may, among other rights, take by grant, purchase or otherwise, real or personal property of every kind within or without the district: construct and operate any and all necessary works within or without the district: appropriate and acquire water and water rights: condemn private property for public use, and take any property necessary for the purposes of this Act whether such property be already devoted to the same use by any district or other publio Agency or corporation or otherwise and to condemn any existing works or improvements in said district new or hereafter used: carry on Investigations pertaining to water supply, water rights, control of floods and uss of water and for this purpose said district Shall have the right of access to ail lands and premises within said district: to incur Indebtedness and to issue bonds: to oause taxes to be levied and collected for the purpose of paying any obligation of the
