    Las Vegas Revlew-Journal - October 10# 19^9 Water System Purchase of the Las Vegas [ Land and Water company by the Las Vegas valley water district, will be discussed at a meeting to be held Wednesday morning in room 202 Union Pacific depot, Las Vegas, it was learned this | morning. Representatives of the water company headed by William Reinhardt, vice president, will discuss the matter with mem­bers of the board of directors of the water district, and it is ex­pected the groundwork will be laid for further conversations on the subject. Engineers for the water dis-jjtrict board have taken the posi-jtion that the Las Vegas utility I must be the backbone of any program for bringing water in i from Lake Mead to augment the p i mply available in the valley, ] and' the -..proposal to*-purchase stems from that premise. s
