Las Vegas Revlew-Journal - October 10# 19^9 Water System Purchase of the Las Vegas [ Land and Water company by the Las Vegas valley water district, will be discussed at a meeting to be held Wednesday morning in room 202 Union Pacific depot, Las Vegas, it was learned this | morning. Representatives of the water company headed by William Reinhardt, vice president, will discuss the matter with members of the board of directors of the water district, and it is expected the groundwork will be laid for further conversations on the subject. Engineers for the water dis-jjtrict board have taken the posi-jtion that the Las Vegas utility I must be the backbone of any program for bringing water in i from Lake Mead to augment the p i mply available in the valley, ] and' the -..proposal to*-purchase stems from that premise. s
