\ Los Angeles - September 8, 1954 Mr. R. L. Adamson Referring to your letter of August 3rd, file 1-7334 relative to 30" diameter concrete pipe to be installed by Las Vegas Valley Water District, across railroad property as shown on your Dwg. No. J-41 at Las Vegas. Recommend District perform all work in connection with in­stalling pipe under supervision of Railroad Company. Mr. C. S. Jenkins made investigation concerning above and for your information, advised as follows: “Have shown on attached print in red, tracks which can or cannot be taken out of service, listed as follows: Track #18 - Freight loading trk - No Track #32 - Passenger Main - Yes Main Line Yes - Yes Track #1 - Drill Track - No Track #227 - Engine runaround - Yes Track #117 - Rail-truck - No North rail-truck - No “Track #32 and M.L. may only be out of service one at a time from departure of #9 at 8:00 AM until arrival of #107 at 4:00 FM daily. “Contacted Mr. Renshaw of Las Vegas Valley Water District who referred me to Mr. Jones, Las Vegas Manager of J. M. Mont­gomery Co. of Pasadena, Calif., who are drawing plans and specifications for district. The plans were enroute Pasadena to Los Angeles and I gave him the following information which I ascertained in connection with the pneumatic tube from the passenger station to the West Yard office. “All distances are from center line of Track #32 and vertical clearances are below base of rail track #32 6“ V.C.P. Stand pipe drain 4” Coach Hyd. Line 12 Treated Water Line 3.7 North and 5.32 below base of rail 4.5 North and 4.31 below base of rail 45.7 North and 2.03 below base of rail F O R M
