Los Angeles - February 11, 1955 1-7334 m MEMORANDUM FOR FILE: Referring to Mr. Renshaw1s letter to Mr. Johnson dated February 9, 1955, next attached, relative to license to cross Union Pacific Railroad Company property at Washington Avenue, Las Vegas: I discussed this matter with Mr. Kenmir, in Mr. James N. Montgomery’s office, Pasadena, and advised him that we are not willing to grant easement across our property, as outlined on sheet R/W Sketch Parcel F-4, revised February 8 , 1955, but we would recommend l i c e n s e 1 0 ' wide across the 160' wide right of way, this 1 0 ' strip to be located immediately north of and parallel to the 1/4 section line. This on the basis that Water District will obtain easement lor license from Helen J. Stewart for the remaining portion of the pipe line to be constructed between North Main Street and east line of Washington Avenue. Mr. Kenmir advised that this would be agreeable to them and says he will revise his plans and profiles at once and send us copies. In the meantime, he asked that we grant the Water District advance authority to start jacking the carrier pipe underneath our tracks on this 1 0 1 license strip. RLAtb
