Second Street Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Mr. Bracken: Some days ago I wrote you relative to Stauffer Chemical Company and Western Electrochemical Company both of whom expect to operate in this plant. At that time I told you that their operations would probably start in early August. Since my letter a bad fire has occurred in #3 unit and this fire involved the operations of the contractor Bechtel-McCone who is installing equipment and building a plant for Western Electrochemical. Because of this unforeseen difficulty it is likely that operations of Western Electrochemical may not get under way until about September May 11, 1945 1 st. Very truly yours, General' Manager F.O.Casesvh
