Los Angeles, July 17, 1942 7334 MEMORANDUM FOR FILE: ] The other day, while In Las Vegas, Mr. J. M. Anderson and I checked ojrer the Wallace & Tiernan chlorinating equipment, and we noted that the motor and the coil valve are 220 volts, whereas we have 440-volt power at the Middle Spring, where this equipment is to be installed. The-chlorinator equipment, including the coil valve motor and push button control were ordered on Reqn. 64-51, dated February 16, 1942, Order No. 36-SD-755', from Wallace & Tiernan Sales Corporation. Upon our return to Los Angeles, Messrs. G. D. Jopling and J. M. Anderson went to Wallace & Tiernan's office and discussed this matter with them, and were advised that they knew the motor etc. should be 440-volt, but for some reason they shipped 220-volt equipment, and that they would at once ship 440-volt motor, valve cdil, etc. to Las Vegas on this same order, and Messrs. Jopling and Anderson will ship back to the Wallace & Tiernan Sales Corporation the 220-volt equipment. Wallace & Tiernan representative advises there will be no expense to the Union Pacific in making this exchange. The 440-volt equipment is on hand in Los Angeles, and there will be no delay to us in making this exchange as material will be in Las Vegas before the Spring House is completed and equipment is ready to be installed. R. L. Adamson CC - Mr. J. P. Mack: Will you please arrange with Messrs. Jopling and Anderson for the return of the 220-volt equipment now on hand at Las Vegas to Wallace & Tiernan.
