    2 In view of the above, fo r production o f domestic water and fo r f ir e protection fo r this important defense community, it is essen tial that additional production capacity be furnished be­fo re hot weather, and to accomplish th is, it is proposed to d r ill a w ell to about 830 f t . depth, from which i t is contemplated that production w ill amount to a minimum of 1,000,000 gals, per day with possible production of 3,000,000 g a ls ., requiring construc­tion of a pipe lin e to transport the water from w ell to reservoir. A ll tubular casing fo r the w ell is on hand, but p rio r­it ie s are needed fo r the cast iron pipe and fit tin g s required fo r the pipe lin e s. As the increased demand incident to the summer season starts about June 1 st, and as i t w ill require about thirty days to place a w ell on production and lik e period to construct the pipe lin e a fter material is received, it is important to the public of Las Vegas that this request be given early consideration.
