In the survey of the Las Vegas w a t e r situation m a d e b y Geolo g i s t Greene u n d e r Hr* R e i n h a r d t ’s direction, it d e v e l o p e d that the dee p e r sands f r o m w h i c h we d r a w o u r m a j o r p r o d u c t i o n have cons i d e r a b l y greater pressure t h a n obtains in- the shallower sands* It follows, then, that water f r o m the lower Sands that m a y p e r c o l a t e toward the surface along the outside of the pipe m a y b e e x p e c t e d to be absorbed into the lower-pressure u p p e r sands and thus lost to o u r production.
