I do not see. why there should he any misunder­standing on Walter’s part in this respeot. It had been determined by Mr. Reinhardt and Mr. Bracken some time ago that we would need additional wells to meet the summer demand, and Mr. Bracken felt that Roscoe Moss, who has performed quite a little well drilling for us along the railroad, could perform the work cheaper than Hall-Baker and in a satisfactory manner. In accordance with this recommendation Mr. Reinhardt had Roscoe Moss in the office and interviewed him as to the character of rig he would use for the drilling, and as to his ability with that rig to properly cement off surface drainage, and also to cement off to • prevent loss of water from high-pressure producing 'strata into lower pressure strata that may occur above the producing horizons.
