% Las Vegas - March 11, 1942 W 23-3-3 Mr. Prank Strong, Vlee President, LVL&W Co., Los Angeles, California. Dear Sir: In checking orer Railroad water facilities at Las Vegas today, it was suggested that a spotlight be installed on cupola of reservoir, so watchman can operate it to various portions of the grounds whenever his suspicions are aroused. This need not be a floodlight but a spot that would reach to the settling basin, operated with hand lever and cogs to turn the light in this direction. It is also considered desirable to have a telephone connection for emergency use of the watchmen. This should be connected to Railroad switchboard, rather than to city board. In the interest of keeping the watchmen we now have employed there, probably an electric light line could also be dropped from the present power line to their tent. Probably this work could be handled at the time other work is being done at the reservoir, installing booster pump, etc. Yours very truly, cc - Mr. W. H. Guild W .H .J . MAR 1 4 1942
