Los Angeles, August 6, 1942 Mr. H. H. Larson: Referring to yours of July 28th In connection with materials used on Work Orders Nos. 2013 and 2029, Las Vegas: I am attaching hereto revised lists of materials used on eaoh well drilled at Las Vegas under the above numbered work orders. I am also returning herewith 13 forms 4205-2 received with your mallgram of July 30th, File 32-1, together, with 4 forms 4205-2 received with your mallgram of August 1st, File 32-1, also Forms 4205-1 received with yours of July 30th, File 30-0. At the time Work Order 2013 was authorized by Executive Committee on January 14th, only two water wells were contemplated; subsequently on February l?th the Committee authorized the drilling of two additional wells, together with additional facilities, etc.; both of these work orders were authorized prior to the starting of drilling operations. In order to economise in the purchase of materials, insofar as practicable all materials for these operations were purchased at the same time, and as we could not anticipate the quantities of materials to be used in each individual well both work orders were shown on eaoh requisition. In order to facilitate the accounting for these work orders, I have had prepared and am attaching hereto, statement showing materials oovered by each requisition issued, together with the Store Department order number applicable thereto, indicating quantity of material (covered by such Store Department Purchase Order) chargeable to eaoh well, as well as the balance of.such material on hand either at Las Vegas or at Wilmington; material returned to Wilmington and on hand at that point to be oredited to the above number work orders and charged to our Wilmington oil operations; material on hand at Las Vegas to be held in suspense account pending the possible drilling of additional wells. Included in attached statement is list of materials shipped to Las Vegas by both the Los Angeles and Wilmington Store Departments, as well as other items of expense not covered by requisitions.
