I agree.Mr. F. H. Knickerbocker, General Manager, Los Angeles, C aliforn ia. Dear S ir: Deferring to our recent water troubles here, within the la s t day or two: We now seem to have the matter straightened out to a certain extent whereby there is l i t t l e fear of a water shortage. A few days ago, on finding no water was being discharged from the spill-w ay of the reservoir, the pump over in the Shop Yards was immediately put in operation and I believe i t has relieved the situation very m aterially, as both la s t night and a l l day today there has been a marked increase in the water discharged from the reservoir spillw ay, and as long as th is is happening there is l i t t l e or no danger of a water shortage. Following are meter readings fo r the la s t three days, showing water consumption by the patrons in the city, and also the railro ad company; also the flow from the well and springs: Water Produced Well 1931.04 gallons per minute Big ^ i n g 749.52 " " " L itt le Spring 719.28 " " " Total 3399.84 « R n 4,895,769 gallons per day. - Water Consumed L.V.L.& W.Go. 3,804,800 gals per day. Railroad Company 1,090.969 gals per day.
