Adamson* \ Referring to your le tte r September 22, f i l e 20*6, in connection with cleaning artesian w ell located near the springs at Las Vegas* X hare had up with Mr. Bracken the question o f blowing out the present w ell to relieve, sand and other pressure, which you estimate w ill cost approximately $1,000. Mr. Bracken advises me, under date October 10, that since the in stallatio n o f pipe lin e from "L itt le Spring" to se ttlin g basin, su fficien t water has been made available for a l l domestic and ra ilro ad uses, and he therefore believes i t would be w ell to hold in abeyanoe u n til sometime early next year the blowing out o f the well* He states he w ill advise us i f it becomes apparent that the w ell should be cleaned out before that time.
