Knickerbocker: Referring to the proposed construction of a two and one#half m illion gallon capacity reservoir at Las Vegas,Nevada, authorized under W. 0* 8248: Fourteen contractors were invited to submit bid fo r th is dtrudture, twelve of whom responded, the three lowest being a8 follows: were requested to state what deduction they would make from th eir bid price in the event roofing material was furnished and applied by the Railroad Company, with the following resu lts: ed to bid fo r this work a few days before invitation for propos a ls were mailed out, which was granted on the strength of advice that they were experienced along the lin es of this work and were in a position to furnish surety bond.
