L, o ey : R eferrin g fu rth er to recent correspondence concerning f i r e hazard in the immediate v ic in it y o f wooden pipe lin e from Las Vegas Shops to r e s e r v o ir and s e t t lin g basin: Theother day I walked over th is t e r r it o r y and there is now no f i r e ris k in vo lved , as th ere is no vegeta tio n in the immediate v i c i n i t y o f th is pipe lin e . The f i r e which occurred a short time ago burned grass, tumble weeds, e t c ., between the r e s e r v o ir and s e t t lin g basin, so there is now no danger o f f i r e in the near fu tu re. However, weeds w i l l grow th is Spring and Summer and we w i l l have to take care o f the s itu a tio n by employing a team and d isc to plow up th e ground, cut the weeds, so we can dispose o f them. This w i l l not be a c o s tly operation . I have in stru cted our maintenance fo rces to watch th is s itu a tio n c a r e fu lly to see that the weeds are cut in time to prevent any hazard o f fu rth er f i r e s . R. L. Adamson
