This condition should* ©f course* be remedied as Mr. Bracken suggests* but the work w ill have to be handled carefu lly to have a l l the bands applied and tightened uaiformily and not too tight* X assume that Mr* Winn* with his experience on this lin e* is beat q u a lifie d to do the work* I suggest* therefore* that you assign a water service repairman to do other necessary work under Mr* Jinn and have him attend to the applying and tijhtning of the bands on this pipe lin e . I f a helper assistin g him w ill m aterially decrease the time required fo r the work* that may also be done. Advise i f you have any better suggestion* and i f not, arrange to do this work during May* advising me when i t w ill be started and completed and ju st what additional help not to exceed one water service repairman and one helper is put on during this interval* Mr. F* H» Knickerbocker* Mr. W* B.
