Bit In the Matter of Mater Service Furnished the Residents of the City of Las Vega* toy the Las Vegas Land and Mater Company. (Case No. 1207) Dear Kr. Allardt Xott will recall that a hearing was held in the above natter in Las Vegas on September 20th and 21st and during the course of the hearing it was suggested by Mr. Shambsrger that possibly a temporary solution of the shortage of Mater during peak summer months could be effected by the installation of pumps on some of the veils of the Las Vegas Land and Mater Company. He suggested that possibly such pumps should be put on Nells Nos. 9 and 10 and that, in his opinion a resulting increase of production would be around three to three and a half million gallons per day (with a drawdown of 25 or 30 ft) and an increased production if the drav-dovn were lowered. The transcript of record indicates that the Mater Company agreed to install pump* on certain of its veils In order to make tests of the increased production and to make a preliminary report to your Commission January 1, 1951 advising you of the results of those tests. Mlth that understanding, the hearing vas ad­journed pending the submission of the report and such further action as the Commission or the City of Las Vegas decided to take.
