M. on Friday, M&roh 12, 195&, I was Informed that one of the old pensioners rooming in the Rooming House, whose name is C&ppy Owens, had fallen down in the hall and humped his head against the door frame, and that he had been carried to his room and was at that time lying on his bed in the room. It was stated that he had injured his head and was then unable to get up from the bed on which he had bean placed by someone in the house earlier in the day. Xn company with Mr. Charles Kochi, X want bade to talk to C&ppy Owens, and*we suggested to him that ws have him taken to the hospital. Gappy admitted that he was unable to get Up and that it might be Just' as well far him to go to the hospital. I asked him If he had any money to pay his bills and he Sold yes, th&t he would pay his own bills as he had money. At the time I talked to him he did not complain of an injury to his head but complained of & pain In his hips across his baak. He agreed that we could call an ambulance and remove him to the hospital. The ambulance was called about lliGO A. M., and they came and he was taken to the Clark County Memorial hospital about 11; 30 A* !4. I oalled Mr. Calvin K. Gory with regard to what to do with his belongings and was advised % Mr. Cory that I should leave hie room intact, and Mr. Gory suggested that it might be well for me to padlock the room so that no on® aould enter without permission. Hasp and staple with padlock was placed on the door about 5?30 P. M. , and the keys are now in my possession. Attached pleas© find statements regarding this case from Mrs. Betty Muchow, Mr. Sdward S.
