    * Las Vegas - May 3, 1954 V 9-1-3 Mr. 0. A. Keeble - Los Angeles Please refer to your letters dated April 22 and April 30, 1954, file 42, relative to surplus 10*' transits pipe which the Union Pacific Railroad is anxious to sell. X have put the word out about this pipe to several local contractors around Las Vegas who might be Interested in purchasing this pipe, but at the present date I do not have any immediate prospects of arranging a sale; however, I have one contractor who is bidding on a Job at Henderson, Nevada and is also bidding on a large project at Billings, Montana, and I have assurance from him that if he is the successful bidder and can use any part of the transit© pipe which we have available, he will immediately contact me with respect to purchasing at least part of it. Be assured that I will continue to make every effort to dispose of this surplus pipe for the Railroad Company and will advise you if and when I have a good prospect. L. R. Maag LRMseJp
